From Dr Amin:
I love being a doctor because it allows me to make a real difference in people’s lives every single day. There’s something deeply fulfilling about using knowledge, compassion, and skill to help someone feel better, heal, or simply find comfort in a difficult moment. Medicine challenges me to keep learning, to stay curious, and to grow—not just as a professional, but as a person. It’s a privilege to be trusted with people’s health and stories, and that trust reminds me why I chose this path.
Our Doctors
Dr Amin studied a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBCHB) in Iraq, graduating in 1997. From there, she completed a 5 year post-graduate degree in head and neck surgery. She graduated as a fully qualified surgeon (CABMS/ENT) in 2003.
She has spent the past 10 years in general practice, obtaining her FRACGP in Australia in 2020. Throughout her studies she completed a multitude of diploma's in skin cancer training and management. Dr Amin has since worked extensively with skin cancer treatments and management.

She obtained her MBBS from Dr NTR University of Health Sciences in 2018, followed by a year of clinical work in emergency medicine. Pursuing her passion for medical research, she later earned a Master of Radiopharmaceutical Science from Macquarie University, specialising in Nuclear medicine, and received the NSW Ministry of Health Academic Prize in 2020 and 2021 for academic excellence.
Before starting in general practice, Divya worked in India across Sunrise Hospital, SAACHI Children’s Hospital and MYNENI Orthopaedic Hospital, gaining experience in acute care and paediatrics. She has more than five years’ experience working closely with children with autism, ADHD and intellectual disabilities, supporting skill development and mental health strategies.
From Dr Divya:
I became a doctor inspired by my father, whose patients felt as close to him as family. Watching the trust he earned and the comfort he brought showed me the kind of medicine I wanted to practise - warm, thoughtful, and genuinely present. Working with children, families, and diverse communities has only strengthened my belief that health is a partnership built on listening and understanding.
Becoming a GP felt natural to me, a place where I can think deeply, offer steady guidance, and support people through both the everyday and the unexpected. Over the years, I’ve learned that true health reaches far beyond just the treatment, but by the small choices we make each day — nourishing food, movement, breath, and moments of stillness that help the body find its balance.
This work lets me serve, connect, and be part of people’s wellbeing in a way that feels true to who I am!
